Regarding a Change to Pharmacy Benefits

Under New York’s rules (12 NYCRR 440.4(1), et seq.), our pharmacy benefits manager, ScriptAdvisor, is allowed to change which pharmacies are in its network.

The Black Car Fund is informing drivers that ScriptAdvisor is updating its pharmacy network and that five pharmacies will no longer be part of the network. Please note that New York law permits insurers to deny payment to pharmacies that are not included in their network.

In-network pharmacies have agreements with your insurer (e.g., The Black Car Fund), which can lead to lower pharmacy costs. Out-of-network pharmacies may not be covered, or they may cost significantly more. Keeping pharmacy costs low for our covered drivers overall provides consistent, low-cost benefits for more Eligible Drivers.

The following pharmacy locations will no longer be part of the ScriptAdvisor pharmacy network as of January 5th, 2026.

Will drivers be notified of network changes directly?

Yes. Drivers currently filling prescriptions within the last three months at removed pharmacies will receive a separate letter from ScriptAdvisor. These letters will include three alternative in-network pharmacies along with instructions on how to move refills to a participating network pharmacy.

Will assistance be provided to switch pharmacies?

Yes. ScriptAdvisor will assist drivers with transitioning prescriptions to a participating network pharmacy. Drivers can contact the Customer Assistance Center at 1.866.846.9279 for support.
